動詞過去式規則變化的幾個簡單規則

1.動詞字尾直接加ed →
finish / finished
|
2.字尾為 “e” 直接加d →
close / closed
|
3.字尾為 “子音+y” 時，去y加ied →
carry / carried
|
4.字尾為 “母音+y” 時，直接加ed →
play / played ; enjoy / enjoyed
|
5.字尾為 “短母音+子音” 時，重複字尾加ed →
nod / nodded ; kid / kidded
